Intersex fugitive Neptune Frost (Elvis Ngabo, then Cheryl Isheja) fled to the Burundi hills, and fell in with a collective of computer hackers challenging the local authoritarian regime. Their fates would strangely intertwine with that of bereaved and exploited coltan miner Matalusa (Bertrand Ninteretse), in this challenging Afrofuturist fantasy-musical from filmmakers Anisia Uzeyman and Saul Williams.
